Week 8 CST 300

JKO did a great job on their videos, they were clear and the teamwork was obvious, the public video could have felt less professional but the professional video was spot on with it's presentation. The videos are informative which makes me think that they did adequate research and were knowledgable on the topic. Both videos are well produced but neither was particularly engaging although I did enjoy the conversations had in both. Overall, they did a very good job on their videos but could have had a little more fun while producing them.

Professional Video:TerraBit Solutions | Quantum Computing in Cryptography

   Terrabit solutions videos are educational and both feel adequately aimed at the right audience,  the public video did feel a tad bit mechanical which could be changed with graphics or through the voice recordings having a bit more inflection. The level of mechanicalness is less of a problem in the professional video but would be better with a tad more inflection. The research and content of the videos was both good and the video would have been more engaging if the recordings felt more personal. The individuals who contributed did a good job working as a team.

Bytebridge solutions did a good job on both of their videos, the topic was well covered and presented in a clear and efficient manner.The quality of the research was adequate and there was very high level of video production. I think less words and more graphics would have made the presentation flow a little bit better but the presentation was still great. Both videos were engaging and it was hard to see the teamwork because only one voice was used but the introductions did make it sound like the work was evenly distributed.

This class has taught me a lot about working with my team members and the structure of the class, all of my teammates are fantastic and I am happy to have met them. We are not perfect in our communication and I think that looking further ahead in the schedule would benefit our timelines for projects.

CST 370 Week 5

 This week we moved from learning how to read and understand algorithms, to a more direct approach to writing some of the more advanced algorithms that explore the more common mathematical and logical problems programmers tend to face. Learning about topological ordering, tree structuring, and quick sort was very interesting as these concepts are huge throughout the computer science landscape. COming off the test last week I feel reinvogorated to keep learning.

CST 370 Week 2

 This week was very interesting, I had learned about time efficiency and Big O, Theta and Omega notation in the past but it was great to learn formal definitions and see some examples of how they can be applied. Understanding how to evaluate recursive algorithms was new for me and pretty difficult to understand at first but after reading the text book and other required materials it started to make a little more sense. I would like to continue practicing evaluating both recursive and nonrecursive algorithms  just to continue understand the asymptotic notations a little bit more. Overall it was a good week and the homework was challenging in a great way.

CST 370 Week 4

 This week I was able to study some of the topics I struggled with in previous weeks like recurrence relationships. In preparing for the test being able to use two sheets of paper as notes was helpful for studying but also helpful for the test. A refresher on merge sort was also a welcome experience as well as the divide and conquer techniques.
